What Strong means here
Each character type you tick appears at least once, and the meter is plain arithmetic on length and character set: the default 20 characters with every type on carry about 120 bits and read Strong, while 8 characters read Fair.
Memorable passphrases
Switch to Memorable for a passphrase of real English words, like Correct-Horse-Battery-Staple-42. It is far easier to type or read out. Pick 3 to 8 words; a number goes at the end. A word carries less randomness than a random character, so the strength meter rates four words and a number Good and asks for six words and a number before it says Strong.

Can I make a password I can remember?
Yes. Switch to Memorable and the page builds a passphrase from real words, like Correct-Horse-Battery-Staple-42. It is easier to type, but it needs more length for the same strength: six words and a number before the meter says Strong.
How random are the passwords?
They use your browser's built-in cryptographic random generator, the same secure source browsers use for encryption keys. Nothing is sent to a server.
Can I customize length and characters?
Yes: 8 to 64 characters, with uppercase, numbers and symbols each on or off, and an option to drop the look-alikes 0, O, 1, l and I.
Can I save the generated password?
Copy it here and paste it straight into your password manager. The full app can also download it as a .txt file; nopa does not keep a copy in Files.
