What Convert images can do
How to use
Drop in a JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC or SVG. The tool reads the format and offers the output formats that make sense for it, so you never pick an impossible pair. Choose one, move the quality slider if you picked JPG or WebP, and convert — the result line shows the old and new file size before you download.
When to choose this format
Use when you need a different image format for the web, email, or documents without installing software.
What the size will do
It depends on the pair. Going to JPG or WebP usually cuts the file by several times; going to PNG usually makes it bigger, because PNG stores every pixel exactly instead of approximating. JPG and WebP are written at 92% quality by default — the point where most people stop seeing a difference — and the slider goes down to 50% if you need smaller.
Choosing a format for where the file is going
PNG opens everywhere and always has, so it is the answer when you cannot test the other end first. JPG is what upload forms and photo printing ask for by name. WebP is decoded by every current browser and previews in Windows 10 and 11, but older desktop software and some application portals still refuse it. AVIF is the smallest and the least widely supported.
Limitations
Large files may be slow on phones. Video conversion is not available yet. HEIC uses a small on-device decoder on first use.

Questions
Does converting reduce quality?
PNG output is lossless. JPG and WebP are compressed, but quality stays high enough for web pages and documents.
Can I convert a whole folder at once?
On this page it is one file at a time. Continue in the desktop and you can drop in up to 30 images, send them all to one format, and get a single ZIP back — same on-device conversion, just batched.
Which formats are supported?
This tool converts between JPG, PNG and WebP. For HEIC, AVIF or SVG, open the matching tool from the related tools on this page.
