How big the logo comes out
The size chips set the logo’s height as a share of the photo’s shorter side rather than as a pixel value, so it scales with the picture. On a 2000×1500 photo, medium puts the logo at roughly 170 pixels tall. The width follows your file’s own proportions, so nothing is stretched to fit.
PNG or WebP: a JPEG logo brings its box with it
The logo picker takes PNG, WebP and JPEG, but only PNG and WebP carry transparency. A JPEG has none: what looks like empty space around your logo is real white pixels, and it lands on the photo as a white rectangle. If a JPEG is all you have, remove its background first.
