What Family Tree Maker can do
Write the names, download the picture
Seven boxes in three generations: both sets of grandparents, your father and mother, and you. Tap a box to write a name; a long one narrows to fit its box instead of running into the next. Drag a box and its name goes with it. Draw more boxes and lines with the tools, then download a PNG or an SVG. On a phone the tree is laid out as a pedigree chart, you on the left and each generation to the right, so a name has room on a narrow screen.
A bigger tree on the Board
Open it in Board and the tree arrives as shapes you can keep editing. Opened before you change anything, it becomes Board’s family tree template instead: four generations from grandparents to children, with a brother or sister and a partner, each card with room for a name and dates. Couples meet at a small knot, children hang from it, and every line follows a card you move. Paste photos beside the cards and export PNG, SVG, PDF or a board file. The same template is under Insert template on any board.
Your family stays on your device
The names you type stay in this browser tab; nothing is sent to a server. The page forgets the tree when the tab closes, so download it first or open it in Board, which keeps your boards in this browser on your device. There is no signup and no nopa mark on the picture.

Questions
Can I print it as a blank template?
Yes. Download it as it is for boxes labelled Grandpa, Grandma, Dad, Mom and Me, or clear the names first (tap a box, delete the name, press Enter) for empty boxes to fill in by hand. For more generations with room for dates, open the tree in Board and export a PDF.
How do I add more relatives?
On this page, draw them: Rectangle makes a box, a tap on it with Select writes the name, and Pen draws the line. In Board it is quicker: duplicate a card and connect it with a line that stays attached when either card moves.
Can I add photos?
In Board: paste or drop a photo onto the board and place it next to the card. The tree on this page is names only.
Can I import a GEDCOM file from MyHeritage or Ancestry?
No. This is a chart to draw, print and share, not a genealogy database, so there is no GEDCOM import or export.
