What comes off the canvas

The sketch above is the small version. The full board adds shapes and sticky notes, connectors that stay attached, frames, tables, a minimap and eleven ready-made layouts — same canvas, still in your browser.
Arrows that stay attached
Bind an arrow to a shape and it re-routes itself: move, resize or nudge the shape and the connector follows. Drag a nub off a shape and the next box arrives already connected.
Frames carry what is inside them
Draw a frame and anything you drop in belongs to it. Move the frame and the whole area travels, fold it away with the caret, or walk through your frames one after another like slides.

What Board can do
Shapes, not just sticky notes
Sticky notes, rectangles, ellipses, triangles, section frames, cards, text, and a freehand pen — plus flowchart and BPMN shapes (events, tasks, gateways) for process diagrams. Style text with size presets, bold, and alignment.
Connectors that stay attached
Draw lines and arrows between shapes. Endpoints snap to edges, labels sit on the connectors, and everything follows when you move shapes, so the diagram survives being rearranged.
Templates and alignment
Insert a kanban board, backlog columns, sprint retro, SWOT, mind map, org chart, roadmap, or BPMN flow in one click. Multi-select to align and distribute objects, with snap guides while you drag.
Images on the canvas
Paste a screenshot from the clipboard and it lands on the board; insert PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP, or SVG files. Ctrl/⌘+Shift+C copies the whole board back to the clipboard as a PNG — handy for chats and docs.
Everything from the keyboard
One-key tools — V select, S sticky, A arrow, P pen, T text — plus Tab for the next sticky, Ctrl/⌘+D duplicate, undo/redo, arrow-key nudge, and a command palette on Ctrl/⌘+/. Multi-select, group shapes, and send a selection to the front or the back.
Save and export locally
Boards autosave in nopa and stay in your browser — no server, no account. Export PNG, SVG, or JSON to Files, import JSON back later, and continue a sketch from this page in the full Board.
How this differs from a cloud whiteboard
Miro, FigJam and the rest are deeper tools with real teams behind them. They also need an account, and your board lives on their servers. Here is the honest split.

How is this different from Miro or FigJam?
nopa runs entirely in your browser with no account and no signup, and your board stays on your device — it works offline and is free. It is simpler than Miro: no real-time team collaboration and a smaller template gallery. If you want a private board for diagrams, flowcharts and retros that opens without a login, this is it.
Do arrows stick to shapes?

Where is my board stored?
In nopa, boards are stored in your browser on your device — nothing is uploaded to a server.
