What Remove Audio from Video can do

The picture is copied, the sound is left out

A video file keeps its picture and its sound as separate tracks. This page copies the picture track as it is and leaves the sound track out, so even a long video is done in seconds and looks exactly like the original.

When it helps

Background noise or a conversation you do not want to share, music a site would flag, a clip for a slide that should play silently.

What you get

An MP4, MOV or MKV comes back as MP4 and a WebM as WebM, with no sound track at all (not a silent one), so players show it as a video without sound. Nothing is uploaded.

Questions

Can I also cut the video shorter?

Not on this page. Trim Video cuts, and the video editor on the desktop trims, turns and removes the sound together.

Does removing the sound lower the picture quality?

No. The picture is copied as it is, not re-encoded.

Is my video uploaded?

No. It is processed in this browser tab and never leaves your device.
