Bottom-center numbering, one click

Numbers land bottom-center as a plain "1" — the placement most reports and contracts use. Need top-right or the "1 / 12" style? Continue in the desktop for the full position and format picker.

Exactly what lands on the page

The number is set in 11 pt Helvetica, dark grey rather than black so it reads as furniture instead of content, and sits 28 pt — roughly a centimetre — above the bottom edge, centered across the width. That is deliberately the same place a printer expects a folio, so a numbered file goes straight into a binder or a staple without anything falling in the gutter.

Numbering runs straight from 1 to N

Every page in the file is counted, starting at 1 on the very first one. There is no way to skip a cover, start counting at 3, or switch the front matter to roman numerals. If your document opens with a title page you would rather leave clean, split it off first, number the rest, and merge the two back together.

Watch the last page for collisions

The number is drawn on top of the existing page, not woven into it — and the bottom center is where plenty of documents already carry a footer, a confidentiality line, or a page number from whatever produced them. Scroll through the result before sending it. If the two overlap, the full PDF editor in nopa can move the number to the top-right corner instead.

Questions

Where do the numbers appear?

Bottom-center, as a plain number, on this page. Need top-right or bottom-right? Open the result in nopa's PDF editor to change it.

Can I show "1 of 10"?

Not on this quick page — it always prints a plain number. Switch to "1 / N" format in nopa's PDF editor.

Can I skip the cover page or start at another number?

No. Numbering always begins at 1 on the first page of the file. The workaround is to extract the cover, number the remaining pages, and merge the two documents again.
