What Split PDF can do
Split by page count, not hand-picked ranges
Choose a chunk size — every 1 page, or every 5, 10, whatever you need — and nopa slices the PDF into that many files, zipped together. Want one new PDF with just pages 2, 5, and 9? Use Extract PDF Pages instead — it builds a single file from the pages you tick.
What comes out and how it is named
A 12-page report split every 5 pages gives you three files: report-pages-1-5.pdf, report-pages-6-10.pdf, and report-pages-11-12.pdf — the last chunk is simply shorter. Split every single page and the names become report-page-1.pdf and so on, so they stay in order in a file manager. Anything more than one file arrives as a single ZIP.
Every piece is still a real PDF
Pages are copied across, not re-rendered into pictures, so text stays selectable and searchable in each part and the quality is identical to the original. Expect the pieces to add up to a little more than the source file: fonts and resources that were shared across the whole document now have to be embedded in every part that uses them.
Limitations
The file has to fit in the tab: up to 100 MB on a desktop browser, 50 MB on a phone or tablet, where memory is tighter. Password-protected PDFs will not open. A 400-page document split page by page produces 400 files inside one ZIP, which is slow to build on an older phone — do that one on a laptop.

Can I split into individual pages?
Yes. Each page can become a separate PDF, downloaded as a ZIP when there are many.
Can I choose exactly which pages go together?
Split works by count — every page, or every N pages per file. For a single file with hand-picked pages like "2, 5, 9," use Extract PDF Pages instead.
Why do the parts add up to more than the original?
Fonts, logos, and color profiles that the whole document shared once now have to be embedded in each part that needs them. On a text-heavy report the overhead is small; on a brochure with big embedded fonts it is noticeable.
