What Word to PDF can do
Why there is no upload step
Most online DOCX-to-PDF converters send your file to their server, convert it there and send it back. For a lease or a payslip, that is a real cost. This page lays the document out in your browser and hands it to the PDF writer your browser already has, so the file never leaves the tab.
Fix the text before you convert
The preview is editable. Correct a typo, yesterday’s date or a missing name right here, then save the PDF. With server converters that means a round trip back to Word; here it is just a click into the text.
Made for everyday documents
Letters, applications, contracts and essays convert cleanly: headings, lists, tables and pictures carry over, on the paper size and margins the file had. Footnotes move to the end and columns become one, with a note when your file has them. Word’s header and footer (a letterhead, page numbers) are not printed into the PDF. A design-heavy brochure should be exported from the app that made it.

Is my file uploaded for the conversion?
No. The document is rendered and turned into a PDF in your browser. It never touches a server, and we cannot see it.
Is the download really free?
Yes. No account, no trial and no watermark of ours on the file: it is made in your browser, and you can save it as many times as you like.
Why does it open the print dialog?
That dialog is your browser’s built-in PDF writer. Choose “Save as PDF” as the destination. It supports every language and font on your system, which is exactly what a converter running without a server needs.
Will the PDF look identical to the Word file?
No. It keeps the content, not the exact layout. Headings, paragraphs, lists, tables and pictures come out clean; footnotes move to the end, columns become one, and Word’s header and footer, page numbers included, are left out. A font your device does not have is replaced with a similar one.
Does it convert .odt from LibreOffice?
Yes. Both .docx and .odt open and convert the same way.
My .docx has tracked changes. What goes into the PDF?
The document as it reads with every change accepted: insertions stay, deletions are gone, a moved paragraph sits in its new place. The page says so when it opens such a file. If the other side has to see the changes, send them the .docx itself.
Can I edit the document before converting?
Yes. The preview is editable in place. For bigger changes, open it in Documents in nopa and export from there.
