What Watermark PDF can do
Any text, any language
Type CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT or a name; non-Latin scripts work too. The watermark sits semi-transparent across the middle of the page, diagonal by default; choose Horizontal under Style to run it straight. The preview of page 1 shows which before you press Add watermark.
Why your alphabet works here
The fonts built into the PDF format are Latin-only, which is why so many stamping tools turn СЕКРЕТНО or GİZLİ into boxes and question marks. nopa sidesteps that by drawing your text with the browser’s own type rendering and placing the result on the page as a transparent image, so Cyrillic, Turkish, Greek, and CJK come out exactly as you typed them.
How it sits on the page
One mark per page: bold, grey, about 30% opaque, angled at 45° unless you pick Horizontal, and scaled to roughly 70% of the page width, centered over the content. It is a single stamp rather than a tiled repeat, so a reader can still work through the page underneath. The same mark goes on every page of the document. There is no way to watermark only pages 4 to 9.
A label, not a lock
The watermark is an ordinary layer on the page, so anyone with a PDF editor can remove it, and the file is not encrypted or locked. It stops a draft being mistaken for the final version; it does not stop someone copying your work.

Can I change the opacity or the position?
No. The mark is always centered at about 30% opacity; you choose diagonal or horizontal.
Is the download really free?

Can I use my own language?
Yes. The watermark renders any script, including Cyrillic and Turkish.
Can someone remove the watermark?
Yes, with a PDF editor. It is drawn as content on the page, not baked into the pixels, and the file is not encrypted. Treat it as a clear label rather than as copy protection.
Can I watermark only some pages?
No. The text goes on every page. To mark a section only, extract those pages first, watermark that file, and merge it back with the rest.
